Abbie Finestone is a food, product and lifestyle photographer originally from Australia, now residing in beautiful Whistler, BC. Nature is her biggest influence. She loves the mountains and spending time wandering the quiet forest trails of her own backyard.

Everything she does involves making and creating things, from sewing and textiles to
illustration and cooking.

Abbie has a background in Art and Design as well as thirty years working in the restaurant and hospitality industry.

Food Photography has been her passion for the last few years, working with local restaurants and food producers in the Sea to Sky region. She is drawn to the simple beauty of food and food styling.

Abbie’s approach combines an artist’s eye with a lifelong love of food, connection and creativity.

Asalah is a visual storyteller, small-scale farm and garden enthusiast, and lover of all things local. She studied Regenerative Community Systems and Ecological Storytelling at UBC, and has spent over six years photographing and digging her hands in the soil at regenerative farms near and far. Her work follows food from seed to harvest to the communal table, capturing the people and places that hold food systems together. Through this project, she's eager to share the stories of the farmers, makers, places and people woven into the Sea to Sky region's rich food landscape.

Brandon Barrett is an award-winning reporter, editor and former staff writer at Whistler's Pique Newsmagazine.

Bronwyn is a site-sensitive, poetic renegade and multi-disciplinary arts practitioner.

Dubbed the ‘backcountry poet’, she holds a PhD in performance, along with a MA and BFA in applied theatre. She has taught and performed internationally. She is the author of hiking beyond : poems from the trail (2026) and knee deep in high water : riding the Muskwa-Kechika, expedition poems (2023) with Caitlin Press; Sea to Sky Alphabet (2024); Gulf Islands Alphabet (2012) and the forthcoming Canadian Rockies Alphabet (2026) Olive and Jasper and My Happy Hiking Trails, all with Simply Read Books. She lives in Whistler.

Erica Osburn is a freelance writer and editor and has lived in the Pemberton Valley for over two decades. Locally-sourced food is important to her and, after Covid, became a necessity. She proudly contributed to writer Lisa Richardson’s food blog Traced Elements, where local food producers and writers shared recipes and food lore from the bountiful Pemberton valley. Erica’s freezer and pantry are always stocked with locally hunted deer meat, locally foraged pine mushrooms, local blueberries and blanched chard, Lillooet tomatoes, and Helmer’s Yukon gold potatoes.

Gaby Barnes is a food systems specialist, local entrepreneur, and mother of two young children living in Squamish. She is currently opening Good Stock Grocer, a neighbourhood grocery store in Brackendale focused on local food, community connection, and sustainable food systems.

Gaby's passion for food comes from a lifelong appreciation for growing, cooking, and sharing food, influenced by a family background rooted in culinary traditions.

Her experience spans over a decade working in food systems, economic development, and community sustainability. Gaby holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Environmental Studies from the University of Victoria and a Master's degree in Sustainability from the University of British Columbia. 

Lannie is an Afro-Indigenous woman from the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh people who has lived in her own traditional territories her whole life. She works primarily in digital art and acrylic paint, most often featuring flora, fauna and whimsical little creatures. Her illustration work includes a children's book and commissioned character illustration.

​Logan Swayze is a Whistler-based photographer whose work spans portrait, lifestyle, commercial, and wedding photography. Grounded in genuine connection and thoughtful storytelling, his images capture real moments shaped by a deep love of the outdoors. He works with brands, families, couples, and individuals throughout the Sea to Sky corridor and beyond, bringing an authentic eye to every project. Katherine Fawcett is an award-winning Squamish-based writer, playwright, mentor, teacher, retreat host, and musician. Her books The Swan Suit and The Little Washer of Sorrows were both finalists for the Sunburst Award for Excellence in Canadian Literature of the Fantastic. She is a regular contributor to Edible Sea to Sky magazine and Whistler Traveller magazine. A devoted foodie with an adventurous appetite and a sweet tooth, she considers herself lucky to be surrounded by thriving farm gardens and exceptional chefs.

Kate is the Business Planning, Content, and Partnership Lead for the Sea to Sky Cooks Collective.

With decades of experience in strategy, communications, and community engagement, she guides the project’s business planning, budgeting, marketing, and outreach efforts.

She oversees the creation of written and visual content, editorial coordination, and storytelling across all project platforms. Kate also leads partnership development across the corridor, supporting collaborations with chefs, producers, artists, cultural groups, and local organizations. She ensures the project is grounded in meaningful community relationships and long-term impact.

Keanna is the Art Director for the Sea to Sky Cooks Collective and contributing illustrator.

She leads the project’s visual identity, creative direction, and overall design vision. Her work spans book layout, branding, and the visual storytelling that will define both the cookbook and the broader cultural project.

Keanna brings a multidisciplinary creative background and a refined visual approach that helps shape how the Sea to Sky’s food, art, and culture come to life across all materials.​

Monique Knudson is a photographer, storyteller, and an advocate for local communities. Based in Lillooet, BC, she specializes in capturing the people, places, food, and traditions that make rural BC unforgettable. Whether she's behind the camera, supporting local businesses, or exploring the lakes and rivers of British Columbia, Monique believes every all local food has a story to tell and every community has something worth celebrating.

Nicole Gurney is a Squamish-based photographer specializing in lifestyle and environmental portraiture. Her work focuses on capturing people within the spaces that shape them—blending natural light, landscape, and narrative to create images with an editorial edge.

Robin uses her camera as a tool to connect with people and landscapes and tell a story for editorial publications and commercial clients such as Arc’teryx and Whistler Blackcomb.
